29 CFR 1926.451(c)(2)(iv): Front-end loaders and similar pieces of equipment were used to support scaffold platforms when they were not specifically designed by the manufacturer for such use. On the north side of the construction site, an employee installing waterproofing material was working from a wooden platform elevated by a JLG forklift that was not approved by the forklift manufacturer exposing the employee to a fall, struck-by and crush-by hazard.

On the north side of the construction site, the employer allowed the forklift to be unattended with the forks elevated and an employee working from the elevated work platform exposing the employee to fall hazards.
