29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b): a) On or about February 14, 2019, employees were exposed to the hazard of falling approximately 23 feet to the exterior of the building while performing carpentry work from the top of exterior walls. b) On or about February 14, 2019, employees were exposed to the hazard of falling approximately 30 feet to the exterior of the building while performing carpentry work and related activities from the top of the roof deck. c) On or about February 14, 2019, employees were exposed to the hazard of falling approximately 11 feet to the interior of the building where fall protection was not provided along a second story deck. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
