29 CFR 1910.212(a) (1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip hazard: a. 445 Hurricane Trail, Dacula, GA (Crown Motorize Double Pallet Jack) - The employees/forklift technician were exposed to caught-between hazard. The forklift technicians were working and/or standing in close proximity to the moving drive mechanism (power steering chain and sprocket) which is housed on the double pallet jack. The door cover which serves as a guard, was open and/or by-passed, exposing the moving parts, on or about February 22, 2019.
