29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c): a) Job Site, 41°20'28.59"N, 75°48'17.46"W, S.R. 92, Exeter, PA - An employee in a thirty (30) foot wide by forty (40) foot long excavation worked adjacent to the eight (8) foot high southernmost sidewall (composed of previous disturbed soil) without any protective system exposing the employee to struck-by and engulfment hazards, on or about February 16, 2019. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19, abatement certification is required for this violation.
