Necessary maintenance or repair or both shall be performed and completed before the press is operated. Records of inspections and maintenance shall be kept in accordance with paragraph (e) of this section. a) Inspection records for the Pull back devices for the Bliss Presses were maintained to ensure proper distance from pinch point hazards, in that operators were inspecting/checking themselves for proper distance.
