29 CFR 1910.147(e)(3): Lockout or tagout devices removal. Each lockout or tagout device shall be removed from each energy isolating device by the employee who applied the device. The employer is failing to ensure employees are utilizing specific procedures for the control of potentially hazardous energy while engaged in activities requiring lockout/tag out. This was most recently documented on or about November 29, 2018 and on or about 29 January, 2019 at the Nestle Purina Pet Care Plant located at 2305 East Hwy 22, Crete, NE 68333. The employees were not instructed in the recognition of the hazards associated with the removal procedures of lockout devices when lock owners are not present.
