29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c). (a) Inside UltrePET facility, near maintenance shop and stairs to lab: On or about 2/20/19 and 2/26/19, employees entered an excavation that was approximately 6' long x 4' wide x 7' deep in type C soil to perform camera inspections and hydro jetting. No protective system was in use.
