29 CFR 1917.13(h): The employer did not require employees to stay clear of the area beneath overhead drafts or descending lifting gear.  a) On or about 02-25-2019 and times prior thereto, located at Virginia International Gateway Terminals at 1000 Virginia International Gateway Blvd. Portsmouth, VA 23703, an employee was exposed to crushing hazards from working beneath a suspended load while adjusting a trailer pin.  While a 40 foot container was suspended approximately 6 to 8 feet over the chassis, employee departed pressure safety mat, walked alongside trailer and reached under the chassis and suspended load to adjust passenger side rear pin.   Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date.  The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employee(s) and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
