29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:      a) On or about 03/08/19, on the balcony at the south side of the Tapestry Charter School, 111 Great Arrow Avenue, Buffalo, NY:   An employee using an abrasive wheel cut-off saw to cut aluminum furring strips was exposed to a fall of approx. 15 ft.  There was a parapet wall along the east end of the balcony and most of the south side that was 37.75 inches high. This is less than the height required to be acceptable as a fall protection system.  At the southwest corner of the balcony, there was an open gap of about 8 ft. long where there was no parapet wall at all.       NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
