29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: At the time of the inspection the following equipment was not equipped with machine guarding to prevent exposure from rotating parts; 1. North side of South edger. 2. South side of North edger. 3. Lower portion of pulley on scragg mill drive.

29 CFR 1910.95(d)(1): When information indicates that any employee's exposure may equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels, the employer shall develop and implement a monitoring program. At the time of the inspection, the employer had not conducted noise monitoring for employees in and around sawmill equipment.
