Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices, electronic safety devices, etc.      On or about March 12, 2019, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards, such as flying chips, while operating a Bridgeport Milling Machine. The employer did not ensure that a chip guard was installed to protect operators from flying debris created during the operation.     Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
