On or about March 19, 2019, employees using electric drills and tin snips to install gutters on the edge of the steel building under construction were not wearing approved safety glasses, exposing the employees eye injuries from flying particles.

29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in steel erection activity who is on a walking/ working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems or fall restraint systems.   On or about March 19, 2019, two employees installing gutters on the edge of the steel building under construction were not connected to the anchor ropes provided, exposing the employees to a fall hazard of approximately 12 feet.
