29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2) as required by 1960.8(b): Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling: (a) On or about March 14, 2019 in room 148, the soil digestion lab, a relocatable power tap, which was UL listed under 31F8 and TVSS, had been used on a wet towel and powered a vortex and magnetic stir plate. (b) On or about March 14, 2019 in the hydraulic lab by the sink on the floor, two relocatable power taps, which were UL listed under 31F8 and TVSS, had been used to power an experiment involving running water. The concrete around one power tap showed evidence of having been wet.

29 CFR 1910.303(b)(6): Conductors or equipment were located in damp or wet locations; where exposed to gases, fumes, vapors, liquids, or other agents that had a deteriorating effect on the conductors or equipment; or where exposed to excessive temperatures and were not identified for use in the operating environment: (a) On or about March 14, 2019 in room 148, the soil digestion lab, the employer had failed to inspect and provide equipment for use that had not been corroded from acidic fumes and liquids. The Vortex Genie 2 from Scientific Industries, Model G560, SN#2492658, and the Magnetic Stir Plate from Fisher Scientific, SN#902N0180 were used by employees and the equipment was corroded.
