29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c).  (a) Corner of AL Hwy 147 and E. College St, Auburn, AL; On or about March 21, 2019 the employer exposed employees to cave-in hazards in that employees were allowed to work inside of a trench measuring five feet one inch deep on the westside and five feet eight inches deep on the eastside, eight feet two inches wide on the west side and ten feet wide on the eastside and twenty feet in length that was dug in class "B" soil. The employer had not complied with the standard in that employees were not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system.
