29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels and 50-feet (15.25 m) wide or less, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety nets:   a) On or about March 20, 2019 at a job site located at 2020 Grand Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri- employees engaged in commercial roofing activities on a low-sloped roof with unprotected sides and edges were exposed to serious fall hazards, in that there was no Warning System in use and the employer did not employ the use of a Safety Monitor for workers at the edge of the roof.  The employee on the fifth floor roof was exposed to approximately a 9 foot fall.  The employee on the fourth floor roof was exposed to approximately a 40 foot fall.  Godard & Sons Roofing was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1003216, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on December 12, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 1130 Emanuel Cleaver, Kansas City, Missouri.  Godard & Sons Roofing, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1009805, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on December 30, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 5151 Northwest 85th Street, Kansas City, Missouri.
