29 CFR 1926.304(i)(1): Each circular had-fed ripsaw was not guarded by a hood whcih completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and that portion of the saw above the material being cut. location: garage, near truck 48 bay on or about: 3/20/19 a) An employee was using a Ridgid R45101 table saw to rip plywood into strips. The saw did not have a guard for the blade nor nonkickback fingers or dogs. NOTE: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection casefile, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.

The employer did not use either ground fault circuit interrupters as specified in paragraph (b)(1)(ii) of this section or an assured equipment grounding conductor program as specified in paragraph (b)(1)(iii) of this section to protect employees on construction sites. These requirements are in addition to any other requirements for equipment grounding conductors: location: garage area on or about: 3/26/19 a) Employees were using electrical equipment, including a Ridgid R45101 table saw and a Skilsaw worm drive saw, while engaged in carpentry work. The employees were not using GFCI protection nor an assured equipment grounding conductor program. NOTE: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection casefile, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.

Except as otherwise provided in paragraph (b) of this section, each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system. Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width (see Appendix A to subpart M of this part), the use of a safety monitoring system alone [i.e. without the warning line system] is permitted: location: roof on or about: 3/19/19 a) Employees, engaged in roofing activities, were not using any means of fall protection. The employees were exposed to a fall of approximately 16 feet 8 inches. NOTE: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection casefile, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.
