29 CFR 1910.95(g)(1): The employer did not establish and maintain an audiometric testing program as provided by 29 CFR 1910.95(g) by making audiometric testing available to all employees whose exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time weighted average of 85 decibels: a) L & K Mills: An employee, Pellet Mill Operator, was exposed to continuous noise at 67.2% of the exposure level of 90 dBA or an 8-hour time weighted average of 87.1 dBA. This exposure was observed over a 323 minute sampling period. Zero exposure was assumed for the 157 minutes not sampled. The employer did not maintain an audiometric testing program for those employees exposed over the action level of 85 dBA, as discovered on or about 04/03/2019. b) L & K Mills: An employee, Pellet Mill Helper, was exposed to continuous noise at 69.3% of the exposure level of 90 dBA or an 8-hour time weighted average of 87.4 dBA. This exposure was observed over a 346 minute sampling period. Zero exposure was assumed for the 134 minutes not sampled. The employer did not maintain an audiometric testing program for those employees exposed over the action level of 85 dBA, as discovered on or about 04/03/2019. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

The purpose of audiometric testing, and an explanation of the test procedures.
