29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, or personal fall arrest systems. At the new apartment site, employees performing trusses/framing work on the roof without fall protection were exposed to falling more than 18-feet to the lower level. Ruben Martinez Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1322654, Citation Number 1, Item number 1B and was affirmed as a final order on August 22, 2018, with a final abatement date of August 31, 2018 with respect to a workplace located at 11006 IH 35 North Frontage Road, San Antonio, TX 78212.
