29 CFR 1910.178(a)(4): Modifications and additions which affect capacity and safe operation shall not be performed by the customer or user without manufacturers prior written approval. Capacity, operation, and maintenance instruction plates, tags, or decals shall be changed accordingly. a)On 4/2/2019 an employer was utilizing home made attachments not provided by the manufacturer to move parts through-out the auto shop. The attachments were not approved by the manufacturer and could have affected the stability of the forklift.
