29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. At the commercial construction site located at 1660 Genessee Street in Kansas City, Missouri: Employees were exposed to fall hazards. Framers were observed installing wood and working at height. Framers were exposed to a fall distance of greater than 35 feet eave to ground without use of fall protection.
