On or about 04/04/19, on the 5th floor of 88-08 Justice Ave. Elmhurst, NY Employee using an A-frame ladder on a tubular welded frame scaffolds to increase the height was exposed to a fall hazard approximately 50 ft. ABATEMENT VERIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.451(g)(4)(xv): Crossbracing is acceptable in place of a midrail when the crossing point of two braces is between 20 inches (0.5 m) and 30 inches (0.8 m) above the work platform or as a toprail when the crossing point of two braces is between 38 inches (0.97 m) and 48 inches (1.3 m) above the work platform. The end points at each upright was no more than 48 inches (1.3 m) apart: A). on or about 04/04/19, scaffolds on east side of 88-08 Justice Ave. Elmhurst, NY Employees working on tubular welded frame scaffolds were exposed to the hazard of falling approximately 50 ft. to the ground. There was no midrail on the scaffold. ABATEMENT VERIFICATION IS REQUIRED PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 1903.19.
