Note:  The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.850(a): An engineering survey was not performed by a competent person to determine the conditions of the framing floors and walls and the possibility of unplanned collapse of any portion of the structure prior to permitting employees to start demolition operations.    a) Worksite, 879 1st Ave, Franklin Square, New York - An engineering survey to determine the structural integrity of the roof of the garage just above the roof line  was not performed prior to the removal of the brick veneer from the second story on the East side of the residential building, on or about 04/02/2019.     Note: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the case file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by CFR 1903.19.
