29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i): Each employee on a walking/working surface having an unprotected side or edge which was four feet (1.2m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On 4/9/2019, at the Advance Disposal Doraville transfer station located at 2784 Woodwin Road, Doraville, Georgia: Employees standing on and using the top guardrail system of the yellow catwalk platform were exposed to fall hazards greater than 15 feet as they access and egress the inside of the trailer.

29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered. On 4/9/2019, at the Advance Disposal Doraville transfer station located at 2784 Woodwin Road, Doraville, Georgia, employees were exposed to fall hazards greater than 15 feet as they walk the trailer loads when they are tarping the trailers without the use of fall protection. Or in the alternative: OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): OSH ACT of 1970 Section 5(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to fall hazards greater than 15 feet. The Thompson Trucking Acquisitions, LLC dba RLJ Thompson Trucking, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.132(a) and in the alternative OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1332135, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 1/25/2019, with respect to a workplace located at 2784 Woodwin Road, Doraville, Georgia.
