29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c). a. On or about April 2, 2019, at the above addressed jobsite, employees were installing a water line in an excavation measured at eight (8) feet nine (9) inches depth. The excavation was not provided with cave in protection, thereby exposing the employees to cave in hazards. THE TRINE CONSTRUCTION CORP., WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1144724, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 2 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON August 2, 2016, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 122 JOHNSON AVE., LIBERTYVILLE, ILLINOIS
