29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s): (a) On or about April 12, 2019, in the shop area of at the manual lathe area, the employer did not provide lathes with chuck guards attached. The employees use the lathes to fabricate parts for machine part manufacturing. (b) On or about April 12, 2019, in the shop area of at the band saw area, the employer did not provide the band saws with the guards attached. The employees use the band saws to cut metal stock.
