29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2): The employer did not initiate and maintain a safety program which provides for frequent and regular inspections of jobsites, materials, and equipment to be made by a competent person (i.e., a person who is capable of identifying existing hazards and correcting same).     (a) 81 Winding Brook Road, Bordentown, NJ: On or about April 17, 2019, 4 sub-contractor employees were re-roofing a two story townhome style residence.  The workers were not using any form of fall protection and were thus exposed to fall hazards of 20 feet and greater.   Ameritech Services LLC was the controlling employer for the jobsite and did not take appropriate action to enforce the use of fall protection and abate the hazard.      NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
