OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees are exposed to assaults by patients:    a) On or about April 4, 2019, in the workplace located at 3600 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA; employees, including nurses and Mental Health Techs (MHTs) were exposed to the hazard of physical threats and assaults, such as being bitten and punched, when interacting with patients during care and daily activities in the Behavioral Health Unit.  Assaults have resulted in injuries including fractures and contusions.
