29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. (a) West Hanover Township Elementary, 7740 Manor Drive Harrisburg Pennsylvania - Employees worked on a roof approximately 14 feet 4 inches above the ground installing additional supports for the chiller. The employer did not ensure that employees used a conventional fall protection system when exposed to fall hazards above 6 feet, on or about April 23, 2019. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
