29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):   (a)  Elk Construction, Inc., 8100 W. Quincy Ave., Littleton, CO 80123: On or before April 25, 2019, the  exposing employer did not ensure that employees were protected from injury, in that four employees were conducting re-roofing operations on a three story condominium. Two employees were actively re-roofing, and the other two employees were taking measurements at the edge of the roof. The employees wore fall harnesses; however, they were not connected to the fall protection system that was installed on the roof. This condition exposed employees to a fall of approximately 30 feet.  Elk Construction  was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1329253, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 10/11/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 18204 E Colgate Pl., Aurora, CO 80013.
