29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2): The employer did not instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his/her environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury: On or about April 26, 2019, an employee was exposed to eye hazards from the use of a pneumatic gun without eye protection, on a residential construction site in Le Roy, Illinois. The employer did not provide employee training in order to provide the employee with the knowledge to recognize construction safety hazards, as well as the procedures to follow in order to minimize or eliminate those safety hazards.
