29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: (a) On the rooftop of a residential structure, on or about April 23, 2019, no fall arrest system or other forms of fall protection were in use by employees who were working while standing on the roof (pitch approximately 6:12), resulting in an approximately 18-foot fall hazard. Gerardo Hernandez was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard [1926.501(b)(11)], which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1277410, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on March 26, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 1003 Commercial Drive, Brunswick, GA 31525.
