29 CFR 1926.502(f)(1)(ii): When mechanical equipment was being used, the warning line was not erected at least 6 feet (1.8 m) from the roof edge which is parallel to the direction of mechanical equipment operation, and at least 10 feet (3.1 m) from the roof edge which is perpendicular to the direction of mechanical equipment operation. Rooftop: Employee(s) were using the Varimat air welding machine perpendicularly to the warning flags and the warning lines measured 7 feet from the edge. Employees were exposed to fall hazards.
