29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) Longmeadow Shops Bliss Rd., Longmeadow, MA: on or about May 8, 2019, an employee was observed siding this restaurant being constructed from the porch roof without any fall protection, more than 10 feet above the ground below. MMC Specialty Roofing Company Inc was previously cited for a violation of an equivalent standard 29CFR 1926.501 (b)13, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1118367, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 2/24/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 43 Hopkins Pl., Longmeadow, MA.
