29 CFR 1926.304(f): All woodworking tools and machinery did not meet other applicable requirements of American National Standards Institute, 01.1-1961, Safety Code for Woodworking Machinery. 5 Olde Connecticut Path, Westborough, Massachusetts; On or about May 7, 2019, an employee was using a DeWalt, DW745, portable table saw to cut window trim without using a push stick or feather board when the use of a guard may not be feasible, exposing employees to amputation hazards. The employer did not comply with the requirement of American National Standards Institute, 01.1-1961, Safety Code for Woodworking Machinery paragraph 7, Operating Rules subparagraph 7.2.6. Specifically, that combs (featherboards) or suitable jigs were not provided at the workplace for use when a standard guard cannot be used, as in dadoing, grooving, jointing, moulding, and rabbeting.

29 CFR 1926.304(i)(1): Each circular hand-fed ripsaw was not guarded by a hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and that portion of the saw above the material being cut. 5 Olde Connecticut Path, Westborough, Massachusetts; On or about May 7, 2019, an employee was using a DeWalt, DW745, portable table saw to cut window trim. The saw was operated without a guard over the blade while ripping the material and the employee was exposed to amputation hazards.
