Operator employees regularly reached within 12 inches of the press hazard area that had a two-inch opening below the guard.

29 CFR 1910.217(c)(2)(i)(a): Point of operation guard(s) on mechanical power press(es) did not prevent entry of hands or fingers into the point of operation by reaching through, over, under or around the guard: 677 Cambridge St, Worcester, MA On May 14, 2019 and at times prior, the guarding on a mechanical power press had a greater than six (6) inch opening above the point of operation where an employee operated eighteen (18) inches from the press area. Table O-10 allows a maximum of two and one-eighth (2 and 1/8) inch opening at eighteen (18) inches from point of operation.
