29 CFR 1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employee(s) to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasion; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes. On or about May 15, 2019, employees operating and cleaning the wheel/cutter machines hopper and other areas are exposed to burns when product and equipment of high temperature contact employees hands and arms because hand and arm protection is not utilized. Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
