29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: On or about May 16, 2019, in the small fabrication shop area, near the CMM and Bridgeport areas, where an employee was exposed to a struck-by hazard when operating a Grob Inc. brand vertical band saw (Model 4v-24, SN 1004), without guarding the unused portion of the blade. Ed's Precision Manufacturing, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 981378, citation number 1 item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on July 23, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 6061 Thomas Rd, Houston, TX 77041.
