Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure.  On or about May 21 2019 an employee performing masonry installation on the upper level at a residential single family property was exposed to a fall of approximately 19 feet when the employer failed to ensure that fall protection was utilized.   No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
