Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a. On or about May 21, 2019, Building 9, employees were not protected from falling 20 feet to the ground by the use of a fall protection system, while walking the top plates, exposing themselves to a 20 feet fall hazard. b. On or about May 21, 2019, Building 9, breezeways, employees were not protected from falling 10 feet to the ground by the use of a guardrail system while walking between the breezeways, exposing themselves to a 10 feet fall hazard.
