29 CFR 1917.112(a)(1): Vehicle curbs, bull rails, or other effective barriers at least 6 inches in height were not provided at the waterside edges of aprons and bulkheads: Waterside Apron: On or about May 30, 2019 and at times prior thereto, curbing or bull rails were not provided for an approximate distance of 120 feet of the southwest end of the waterside apron. This condition exposed employees to drowning hazards from vehicles going over the waterside edge. The Alaska Marine Trucking, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1159773, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on July 29, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at Ketchikan, Alaska. The Alaska Marine Trucking, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1260135, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on December 28, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at Juneau, Alaska.
