29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, were not protected by protective helmets: a) For the employees working in the trench laying municipal water lines on or about June 3, 2019 and times prior thereto, the employer did not require the use of head protection when employees were in the trench during lifting of pipe overhead. This exposes employees to the hazard of being struck by objects that are being lifted overhead.
