29 CFR 1926.757(e)(4): No bundle of decking may be placed on steel joists until all bridging has been installed and anchored and all joist bearing ends attached, unless all of the following conditions are met: On or about May 28, 2019, at a worksite located at 180 Penniman Road, Orwell, OH, during steel erection activities including, but not limited to, hoisting and landing metal decking bundles on a structural steel building, employees were exposed to fall and collapse hazards of approximately 26.4 feet when the employer did not ensure at least one row of bridging was installed and anchored or a qualified person determined and documented that the structure was capable of supporting the load.
