29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1): Each employee on a scaffold more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above a lower level shall be protected from falling to that lower level. Paragraphs (g)(1)(i) through (vii) of this section establish the types of fall protection to be provided to the employees on each type of scaffold. Paragraph (g)(2) of this section addresses fall protection for scaffold erectors and dismantlers.    Note to paragraph (g)(1): The fall protection requirements for employees installing suspension scaffold support systems on floors, roofs, and other elevated surfaces are set forth in subpart M of this part.    On June 3, 2019, located on the east side of a residential exterior structure, an employee had been performing masonry work was not protected from falling when standing on the side/end bracket of a scaffold system. Potential fall height measured to be 23-10.

29 CFR 1926.452(c)(1): When moving platforms to the next level, the existing platform shall be left undisturbed until the new end frames have been set in place and braced prior to receiving the new platforms.    On June 3, 2019, located on the east side of a residential exterior structure, an employee was standing on the side/end bracket of a fabricated frame scaffold while scaffolding planks were being moved/relocated to the upper/lower level of the scaffolding system during masonry work. Potential fall height measured to be 23'-10".
