29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2): Such programs shall provide for frequent and regular inspections of the job sites, materials, and equipment to be made by competent persons designated by the employers. On June 3, 2019, located on the north side of a residential structure, an employee was exposed to a fall hazard installing siding onto the exterior structure while working from a ladder jack scaffold as there were no frequent and regular inspections performed by a competent person to ensure equipment such as a personal fall arrest system was being utilized in a safe condition. Potential fall height measured to be 13 feet.

29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1)(i): Each employee on a boatswains' chair, catenary scaffold, float scaffold, needle beam scaffold, or ladder jack scaffold shall be protected by a personal fall arrest system. On June 3, 2019, located on the north side of a residential structure, an employee was installing siding onto the exterior residential structure while working from a ladder jack scaffold that was not protected from a fall hazard by the use of a personal fall arrest system. Potential fall height measured to be 13 feet.
