29 CFR 1926.1428(a): The employer of the signal person did not ensure that each signal person meets the Qualification Requirements (paragraph (c) of this section) prior to giving any signals. (a) New Cobb County Fire House located at 5781 Mableton Parkway, Mableton, GA 30126: On or about June 11, 2019, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to struck-by hazards while flying 64-ft., 6-in. trusses onto load bearing walls, in that the signal person used was not qualified and was not evaluated, tested, or certified by a qualified evaluator. No documentation was made available at the jobsite regarding who the signal person was and what signals they were qualified for.
