29 CFR 1926.701(b): All protruding reinforcing steel, onto and/or into which employees could fall, was not guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement: a. 1040 E. Saint Georges Ave., Linden, NJ - CitiVillage Phase II - North Elevation footings The employer did not ensure that reinforcing steel was properly guarded. Employees and sub-contractor employees worked in areas where the reinforcing steel (rebar) for the block wall extended more than 12 inches and was not protected with caps. Violation observed on or about June 19, 2019
