29 CFR 1910.138(a): General requirements. Employers shall select and require employees to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands are exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasions; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes. a) LPG container storage: On June 18, 2019, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to burn hazards while removing and replacing Liquefied Petroleum Gas LPG containers on the Kalmar Forklift Model ACC50K Serial Number AC0519997, in that proper hand protection was not provided.
