29 CFR 1910.242(a): Hand and portable powered tools or equipment were not kept in safe condition: a) Worksite, Production Floor: Employees were authorized to use hand and portable powered tools including, but not limited to, Speedaire 5 High Speed Sander Model 48LZ97, in an unsafe condition. The sander was used with a grinding wheel, in a capacity for which it was not designed; on or about 6/24/19. Note: In addition to abatement certification the employer is required to submit abatement documentation for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
