29 CFR 1926.102(a)(2): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses eye protection that provides side protection when there is a hazard from flying objects. Detachable side protectors (e.g. clip-on or slide-on side shields) meeting the pertinent requirements of this section are acceptable. At a new residential construction home, east side: On or about June 25, 2019, and at times prior thereto, employees when installing roof decking, were exposed to struck by hazards from flying objects while using a Dewalt nail guns and Makita Circular Saws without safety glasses.

29 CFR 1926.451(g)(4)(i): Guardrail systems shall be installed along all open sides and ends of platforms. Guardrail systems shall be installed before the scaffold is released for use by employees other than erection/dismantling crews. At a new residential construction home, east side: On or about June 25, 2019 and at times prior thereto, an employee working from a pump jack scaffold was exposed to a fall hazard greater than 10 feet to the ground, while installing plywood on the exterior wall without a guardrail system in place.
