Employees engaged in residential construction installing doors on the second floor of the building were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 31 feet from the balcony's edge to the ground below in that employees were not provided fall protection.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: Employees were exposed to fall hazards. Employees engaged in residential construction installing doors on the balcony of the second floor of the building were not provided with fall protection training to understand hazards associated with falls and the use of fall protection to minimize these hazards.
